Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts
** The NYU Health Sciences Libraries and Ehrman Medical Archives sustained considerable damage during Hurricane Sandy. We are working diligently with the NYU Langone Medical Center to restore our web presence and digital collections. In the meantime, please review the reference resources in this Libguide for general inquiries, or contact us at hsl_archives@nyumc.org for further assistance. Please note that reference requests may take up to two weeks to process. Thank you for your understanding. **

About The Archives
The Archives of the Frederick L. Ehrman Medical Library serves as the final repository for the historical records of the NYU Langone Medical Center, NYU School of Medicine, and all affiliated institutions. Its primary purposes are to document the history of NYU Medical Center, and to provide source material for the members of the NYU community, and other interested scholars.
To meet these responsibilities the Archives was established as a department of the Ehrman Library in 1968 to collect, preserve, organize and make available the non-current records of enduring administrative, legal, fiscal and historical value, as well as the papers of people who played a significant role at the Medical Center or who spent a major portion of their careers here.
